The EvenStart Program provides in-home support services to all families with children attending the program. Working with each individual family at the level they are at, home visitation workers share learning and therapeutic materials that are part of the child’s classroom education and treatment program. These workers also assist the family with locating needed community services and resources that would help with any issues that the family may be experiencing. From food bank referrals to helping families establish effective bedtime routines, parents receive individualized support that help to strengthen the family unit as a whole.

Home visitation workers recognize that they are often a key resource for many families experiencing great transition, loneliness and other challenges. As such, they work at providing support and understanding in an accepting and non-judgmental manner, empowering families to actively build their skills and extend their own learning.
