The EvenStart program provides Home Visitation services to the families of children attending the program.
The Home Visitation worker sees each family in their home and assists with the sharing of the learning and therapeutic materials that are part of the child’s classroom education and treatment program. These workers also assist the family with locating needed community services that would help with any issues that the family may be experiencing. Life skills training is part of the program and families are encouraged to attend any group session that may be helpful to them.
The Home Visitation workers recognize they are often a key resource for some families experiencing great transition and loneliness and as such they work at providing support and understanding in an accepting and non-judgmental manner.
